At-Risk Children Need God’s Love!

“Low-income children are at greater risk than higher-income children for a range of cognitive, emotional, and health-related problems, including detrimental effects on executive functioning, below average academic achievement, poor social emotional functioning, developmental delays, behavioral problems, asthma, inadequate nutrition, low birth weight, and higher rates of pneumonia.” American Psychological Association

You can make a difference at Summer Program at Washington UCC because volunteers engage with children from lower-income neighborhoods in Cincinnati’s urban core.  When children feel seen and heard they are less inclined to engage in at-risk behaviors.
