At Washington UCC, we  welcome the time and talents of all who are willing to share.  We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities to fit your interests and level of commitment.  Whether looking for a one- time opportunity, a group activity, or to become a "regular", we have something for you!

To learn about each opportunity, read through the listings below.

Homework Club

We need tutors for Homework Club who can commit one day a week (Monday-Thursday) from 4-5:30 p.m. to help a child age 6-14 complete homework. We'll match you with the grade level you want. Contact the Homework Club Coordinator at (513) 541-7757 ext.4 or via email.

Camp Cupboard and Closet

We welcome helpers to fill food bags, serve customers during Camp Cupboard hours on Tuesdays and Saturdays, once a week or once a month. Contact Ann Osterfeld at (513) 541 -7757 ext. 2 or via email

Street Feeds

The street feed program is a great volunteer opportunity for groups, as 10-15 people are needed.  Interested groups are asked to pick a Saturday to have the street feed and provide the meat for the meal (this typically costs $150 - $200), as meat is very difficult for us to obtain from the FreeStore/FoodBank.  Interested groups should contact Michele White or call the church at (513)541-7757

 Holiday Programs

Thanksgiving Program is made possible by volunteers who create, sort, and distribute food bags. If you or your group are interested in volunteering, click on http://www.washingtonucc.org/holidayprograms.html or contact Jean Siddall or call the church at (513) 541-7757 ext.2.

Christmas Program - It takes many helping hands to transform our fellowship hall into the Christmas Shop! Volunteers are needed to sort clothing, toys, and food (food box list: http://www.washingtonucc.org/yourti102255.html )and distribute gifts. Interested volunteers should contact Jean Siddall  or call the church at (513) 541-7757 ext. 2 to sign up.

Back to School - Volunteers are needed to sort and distribute school supplies. Interested volunteers should contact Jean Siddall or call the church at (513) 541-7757.
