Christmas can be a difficult time for many of the low-income families in Camp Washington. Parents often lack the resources to purchase gifts for their children, and the children, bombarded by holiday adverstisements, long for the newest game or toy. In an effort to address this issue, Washington UCC administers the Christmas Program, providing food and gifts to 125 families (350 children) who would otherwise have no Christmas.
How to Register for Christmas
- Registration begins in Mid October and runs through the end of November. Families may register at the Camp Cupboard and Closet on Tuesday and Saturday from 12:00-2:00.
- We accept only Camp Washington Residents for the first month of Registration.
- After the first month we open the program up to families outside of the neighborhood.Families (with Children) wishing to register must bring last month's rent receipt or proof of residency, IDs for each child (i.e. Medical or Social Security card)
How to Donate or Volunteer

Each year the items needed varies. Those wishing to donate should contact Jean Siddall, call the church at (513) 541-7757 for a detailed list of needed items.
- It takes many helping hands to transform our fellowship hall into the Christmas Shop! Volunteers are needed to sort clothing, toys, and food and distribute gifts. Interested volunteers should contact Jean Siddall or call the church at (513) 541-7757 to sign up.
