The Back to School program aims to supply neighborhood children with quality school supplies that they would otherwise be unable to afford. Washington UCC sees this effort as an opportunity to build children's self esteem and to demonstrate how much the church values their education.
Typically, we will supply one large item (that item varies from year to year). For example, one year we distributed book bags and the next year we distributed uniforms& hygiene kits. Last year we helped 110 neighborhood children begin the school year well prepared.
